1/25 Landfall House in Beautiful Barbados
About Barbados:
Barbados is a coral island, pushed out of sea by volcanic activity in a far away time. On the West Coast of Barbados, coral shore beaches of fine white sand stretch along a blue-green sea. Coral reefs fringe the Barbados shoreline to provide excellent snorkeling and Scuba Diving. Along the East Coast a lively surf is blown briskly by the strong and constant trade winds and the waves pound against a rocky shore. The constant breeze of the trade winds give Barbados a mild and pleasant tropical climate.
When you visit Barbados, you will see it is mostly a flat coral island with excellent beaches, but there are rolling hills and many deep ridges and gullies, with an interesting distribution of flora and fauna. Within the Barbados coral core there is a vast array of caves and underground lakes which provide an excellent supply of drinking water that is amongst the purest in the world. Geologically Barbados is unique, being actually two land masses that merged together over the years. This and other anomalies make this Caribbean Island quite phenomenal, and there are geological structures that you will find only in Barbados.
Barbados is a very beautiful island, with lots of art, activities, night life, music, history and some of the best restaurants to be found anywhere. But what makes Barbados even more special, and the reason why so many visitors keep returning to the island year after year, is the people. Barbadians, called Bajans, are warm and friendly souls, always ready to greet you with a sincere smile. Barbadians make you feel welcome and special, in this lovely Caribbean Island. A unique Caribbean paradise, surprisingly sophisticated, friendly, fun and always Naturally Charming!
It is an adventure from the moment you enter through the arched doorway into the attractive central courtyard with cascading tropical flowers and bubbling fountain.
The ground floor reveals two air-conditioned bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a gazebo dining room, air-conditioned bar with sitting area, office and kitchen. There is a large free-form infinity edged swimming pool as well as a separate heated jacuzzi, barbeque pit and adjacent beachside gazebo. The pool terrace features a sunken seating area which leads to the air-conditioned bar.
Upstairs a magnificent master bedroom suite with a bathroom awaits you. The master bedroom balcony provides a magnificent view of Sandy Lane Beach. Three equally splendid air-conditioned bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms provide ample space for large groups. Also located upstairs is air-conditioned TV room which provides comfortable seating and is equipped with satellite TV, DVD player, VCR and a surround-sound stereo system.
Throughout Landfall a high tech sound system is capable of filling the entire villa with the music of your choice. A perfect house for entertaining, this unique property is ideal for sunset cocktails in the jacuzzi, a midday lunch party around the swimming pool or a starlit barbeque dinner under the stars.

1/11 Ted Williams UPDATE, How the Tucson Tragedy Affects Your Life
A survey of a representative sample of 1,008 American adults conducted by Vision Critical on Jan. 10-11, 2011, found that a majority of respondents (51%) believe the shooting is the result of an individual’s actions and should be regarded as an isolated incident, while a smaller proportion (31%) think the shooting is the result of the current negative tone of politics in America. However, more than a third of Americans (37%) say they expect more events similar to the Arizona shooting to happen in the U.S. over the next few months.

1/7-Scott St James, John Madden,
John Madden and CRN's own Scott St. James - Blast from the PAST!
The second annual Madden Most Valuable Protectors Award honors the NFL’s best offensive line for the regular season. This year, fan voting kicks off on January 6th and lasts until Friday, January 21, serving as the final piece of the puzzle in determining this season’s best protectors in the NFL. Throughout the regular season, Coach John Madden has been closely tracking the top offensive lines in the NFL, and will be narrowing the list to five (5) finalists. These five teams will be selected based on a combination of criteria including offensive line statistics – sacks allowed, rushing and passing yardage, time of possession, O-line penalties, 3rd and 4th down conversion percentages, red zone scoring conversions - plus Madden’s own personal observations across the season.
Beginning January 6th, fans can visit http://www.maddenprotectorsaward.com/ for a comprehensive review of each finalist and then cast their votes. The recipient of this year’s Madden Most Valuable Protectors Award presented by Prilosec OTC will be announced on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in North Texas during the week leading up to Super Bowl XLV. Last year, the offensive line of the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints was named the first-ever Madden MVP award winner.

1/4-Richard Sterban
ENTERTAINER • ANNOUNCER • ATHLETIC TEAM OWNER
Richard began his singing career as a six-year-old soprano in Sunday school in his native Camden, New Jersey. He was a tenor in the glee club in seventh grade, but when he returned in the fall for eighth grade, he was a bass!
He loved sports and music, decided he had more talent for the latter, and developed a simple goal: “I wanted to be in the best vocal group in the world.” Before joining the Oaks in 1972, Richard sang in various groups, most notably backing Elvis Presley as a member of The Stamps Quartet.
Baseball has also been a longtime passion. For many years he has been an owner of the Nashville Sounds (Milwaukee Brewers AAA club), attending spring training, even taking bus trips with the team.
His well-tailored clothing reveals one of his other loves.
“When I was singing part-time and working in a clothing store,” Richard recalls, “I developed a real interest in fashion, and it’s something that has carried through.”
Richard enjoys fine restaurants, collecting wine, and traveling — particularly to the seashore, where he likes sailing and snorkeling. A fitness buff, he has a bicycle at home and keeps another stowed in a bay under the tour bus. He even has a case so he can check a bicycle aboard airplanes.
Because of his longstanding interest in weather (he enjoys watching the Weather Channel!), Richard recently recorded public service announcements for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weather radio network, the “voice” of the National Weather Service. Richard is also the “voice” for the Classic Country channel on Sirius Satellite Radio.
He and his wife Donna have two daughters living at home, Lauren and Tori. He also has three older sons, Rich, Doug and Chris, as well as six grandchildren.
Today's show is hosted by Tomás filling in for Mike Horn.
